To build a sense of community and provide empowerment for adults with special needs through connection, meaningful experiences, spiritual growth, and fulfilling mission work.

The Southwind Fields programs are based on the "Community Strong" concept - launching a revolutionary initiative that provides adults with learning differences the opportunity to make an enormous impact in the city of San Antonio and around the world. Working alongside one another, in "Community Impact Teams", our locals can enter the mission field in a way that not only helps them find fulfillment, but works towards the greater good, benefiting non-profits working to make a difference in our city. We believe that "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness" should not be exclusively for people without disabilities. Everyone has the right to pursue their dreams and fulfill their God lead passions. In both the Southwind Day Program as well as the Southwind Fields Tiny House program, locals are offered the opportunity to be contracted Southwind Fields employees, being hired onto Local Work Teams, earning a steady paycheck while being active participants in an employment setting of their choosing within our organization. We are committed to our locals' highest level of independence and authenticity. Spreading the love of Jesus. Finding purpose. No failure. No being fired. No being "fixed". That's the Southwind lifestyle.
