BECOMING A LOCAL
FIRST STEPS TO ADMISSION INTO ALL SOUTHWIND PROGRAMS are IDENTICAL:
1. INQUIRE
Give us a call or, fill out the form below, and we’ll get you set up for your next step. You can ask us your questions and we’ll share Southwind Fields with you. Quick and easy.
2. Interview
Nothing painful or awkward here. We just want to get to know you, learn about your hopes and dreams, talk about what you see for your future, and figure out if Southwind Fields is the best fit for you! Just an open, honest conversation about what you’re great at, what you need a little work on, and whether or not we’d make a good team.
3. application
If everyone agrees that Southwind is a good fit, we’ll ask you to submit an application using your post-interview password. This is our way of knowing, for sure, that you’d like to move forward and it gives us the opportunity to learn details that we may not have gotten to during your interview.
4. REVIEW
After we’ve received your application, our admissions committee will sit down and look over the information you’er provide. If you’r applying for a scholarship/sponsorship, your financial information will be reviewed as well. We’ll look at the big picture and decide if we feel like we can meet your needs and help you find a life you love! Either way, we’ll shoot you an e-mail and let you know what we’re thinking.
5. Tour/matches
Upon admission to Southwind Fields, we’ll set up a time for you to come tour your program. For City Locals, we’ll meet you at our partnered community apartments and let you take a look around and ask any further questions. At this point, we’ll also place your name into our roommate pool and start the process of finding the perfect match. For The Southwind Local Society, we’ll meet you there, show you around, and talk about what to expect. Tours will be upcoming for the Tiny Home Community.
6. VOLUNTEER DAY (Southwind Local Society day program only)
Once you’ve been admitted to the Southwind Local Society Day Program, we will ask you to come volunteer for a day. We want to make sure you’re comfortable and that the locals who are already in the program feel comfortable too! That way, we all know we’ll make a good team!
