At Southwind Fields, we have worship night every Third Wednesday, but we recently discovered:
90% of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities have never heard the gospel presented to them in a way they understood, and 95% of families with children who have special needs do not attend church for reasons surrounding their care.
These statistics broke our hearts.
In coming months, Southwind Fields will begin opening up our worship nights to the community, with the goal of effective, time sensitive gatherings where families with all different types of needs can come and worship in an environment that supports and celebrates their entire family.
The idea is small groups, in an intimate setting, focused on precious time learning about Jesus.
We are currently seeking interest to discover how we can best make this happen.
